QQI stands for Quality and Qualifications Ireland. This agency was established in November 2012 and has both awarding and quality assurance responsibilities in education. QQI maintains the National Framework of Qualifications

A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone or tablet.

QR codes contain information and instructions on what your device should do with the information.

Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is a professional status available to Further Education (FE) teachers in England which enables them to teach in state maintained schools in England on the same terms and conditions as other qualified school teachers. QTLS is conferred by professional formation via the submission of evidence of continuing professional development (CPD). Membership of the Institute for Learning (IfL) is an ongoing requirement for maintaining QTLS status.

Quality Matters is:

• A set of standards (Rubric) for the design of online and blended courses 
• A peer review process (faculty to faculty) for reviewing and improving online and hybrid courses
• A faculty support tool used by instructional development staff
• A professional development opportunity
